BNP will bring out processions in all districts and metropolitan cities tomorrow to mark the International Day of Victims of Enforced Disappearances.

"Party leaders and activists will take part in the processions covering their face with black cloth and holding black banners," said BNP Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

He was speaking at a press briefing at the party's Nayapaltan central office today.

"Over 600 people, including public representatives, youths, students, journalists, and rights activists, have become victims of enforced disappearance," Rizvi said, adding that bodies of around 100 of them were recovered.

He said that the whereabouts of countless others still remain unknown. In most cases, families alleged that law enforcers picked them up.

BNP sources said the procession in the capital will start in front of the party's Nayapaltan office around 3:00pm tomorrow, said party sources.
