BNP holds emergency meeting to decide on next course of action

The BNP Standing Committee members are holding an emergency meeting virtually to discuss the latest political situation and decide on the next course of action.

The virtual meeting started at 11:00am.

Prior to the meeting, BNP Standing Committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku told The Daily Star that they would hold it virtually, as police picked up the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee member Mirza Abbas.

He said they would discuss the prevailing political situation and decide on the next course of action.
