AL men thronging to ‘peace rally’ in Uttara

Leaders and activists of different units of Dhaka city north Awami League have been making their way to Amir Complex area of Uttara in groups to attend the party's "peace rally" today.

Dhaka City (north) AL organised the rally protesting the "terror and anarchy of the BNP" in Uttara's Azampur area. It will later distribute warm clothes among the needy.

Since 10:30am, leaders and activists of different units of AL have been thronging the rally venue.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader is scheduled to address the rally as the chief guest. Dhaka city north AL President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman will preside over the rally.

Meanwhile, Jubo League is also holding a rally in front of the AL headquarters in Gulistan's Bangabandhu Avenue.
