Abdus Salam laid to rest

Bangladesh Newspaper Transport Owners Association General Secretary Md Abdus Salam was laid to rest at his hometown Barishal yesterday.

Abdus Salam breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday. He was 58.

He left behind his wife, a son, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held after Maghrib prayers in Shyamoli on Tuesday and the second one in Barishal.

Different newspaper organisations expressed condolences at Abdus Salam's death and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
