United Hospital’s 15th anniv observed

The 15th anniversary of United Hospital, situated at the capital's Gulshan, was observed yesterday.

After Zohr prayers, an anniversary event started with a recitation from the Quran, and special prayers were arranged, said a press release.

Later in the afternoon, Moinuddin Hasan Rashid, chairperson and managing director of United Group, and Mohammad Faizur Rahman, managing director and CEO of United Hospital Ltd, cut a cake and were present at a luncheon alongside doctors, nurses, directors and other senior officials.

Moinuddin said United Hospital was set up with the aim to provide world-class healthcare. "We are gradually improving our organisation to turn it into a role model, a centre of excellence."

Faizur said, "So far, we have provided healthcare services to more than 5,30,000 patients and their families… We have been able to provide proper Covid care to more than 70,000 patients."

"More than 2,30,000 patients were admitted to the emergency department, which shows the confidence of people on us," he said.

On this day in 2006, the official activities of United Hospital were inaugurated under the ownership and supervision of United Group.
