Saw changes in Murad over last 3 months: Info Minister

Information Minister Hasan Mahmud today said he saw some changes in State Minister Murad Hasan, who resigned today, over the last three months.

"It seems to me he was somewhat changed in last three months," he told reporters at Secretariat, hours after Murad sent his resignation letter to the office.

Hasan Mahmud, however, did not elaborate on the changes he noticed in Murad.

His activities embarrassed the government and the party, the information minister added.

Murad's personal assistant took the resignation letter to the Cabinet Division a while ago, the minister said around 3:00pm.

Asked about his status as member of the parliament, Hasan Mahmud said Murad was voted by the people and none will be able to remove him from that position. 

"He helped me with the ministry's activities. I wish him well," he added. 

Jamalpur district unit of Awami League will decide about his post of health affairs secretary in that committee while the party will decide on his primary membership, he added.
