RMG workers block road for higher Eid bonus

Workers of an RMG factory yesterday blocked Nabinagar-Chandra highway in Savar, demanding higher festival bonus and 10 days' Eid holiday.

The workers took to the street after the authorities of Skyline Apparels Ltd at Palashbari, Ashulia declared Eid holiday for seven days and bonus amounting to half of their basic salary.

They withdrew the hour-long blockade around 1:30pm after Ashulia industrial police assured them of resolving the matter.
