Rajshahi visit: PM to open 25 dev projects tomorrow

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate 25 development projects in Rajshahi city and across the district tomorrow. The projects have been completed at a cost of Tk 1,317 crore.

At an event, she will also lay the foundation stones of six more development projects, including the new Tathya Bhaban Complex scheme, to be implemented in the city and other parts of the district. It will require  Tk 376 crore to complete the projects.

The 25 projects include the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the city, flyover at Mohanpur rail crossing, Rajshahi Police Headquarters building, Rajshahi civil surgeon's office building, Sheikh Russel Shishu Park, five-storey academic building at Rajshahi Charghat Technical School and College, Multipurpose Bhaban at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, and Padma river protection dam at Charghat and Bagha upazilas.

After inaugurating the projects, the PM will address a rally at Rajshahi Madrasa ground in the afternoon. The event will be organised by the district Awami League.

Hasina will begin the Rajshahi tour through attending the passing-out parade of the probationary assistant superintendents of police of 38th BCS police cadre at Sardah Police Training Academy.

A total of 97 ASPs from the batch are participating in the year-long training at the police academy.
