Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wrapped up her four-day state visit to India with a trip to the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer Sharif and is expected to return to Dhaka this (September 8, 2022) evening.

During her stay in New Delhi, she held talks with Indian PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday (September 6, 2022), addressed a business summit and conferred Mujib scholarships, reports our New Delhi correspondent.

After Hasina-Modi meeting at Hyderabad House in New Delhi, the two countries signed seven MoUs and agreements including the agreement on sharing the waters of Surma-Kushiyara River. This was the first time Bangladesh and India signed an accord on river water-sharing since the Ganges water treaty of 1996.

Earlier in the day, Rajasthan Education Minister BD Kalla received the premier when she reached Jaipur to visit the dargah sharif, in India's Rajasthan.
