Parliament passes supplementary budget of Tk 17,299cr

Parliament today passed a supplementary budget of Tk 17,299 crore for the fiscal 2022-23 to meet the increased expenditures under different ministries and divisions.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal placed the supplementary budget in the House on June 1 along with the national budget.

This fiscal's budget was Tk 678,064 crore.

In the supplementary budget, the expenditure of 22 ministries and divisions was increased while the spending of 40 ministries and divisions was reduced.

The total allocation now stands at Tk 660,507 crore.
