HRD Korea EPS Center looking for over 300 Bangladeshis to pay insurance

HRD Korea EPS Center in Bangladesh is looking for over 300 Bangladeshi workers -- who have been enlisted to return from Korea -- to pay their insurance money.

Since 2008, workers have been going from Bangladesh to South Korea through the EPS system. So far, 27,561 workers have gone to Korea. This year alone, 5,600 workers are leaving for Korea.

All employees are required by the Korean government to have insurance, and they must bring the insurance earnings with them when they leave Korea. However, some employees fail to bring the insurance money, which can be anywhere between Tk 30,000 and Tk 3 lakh per person.

According to a press release from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea today, HRD Korea has been actively looking for those workers through a variety of methods for ten long years in order to return the insurance money.

On November 30, 2022, a list with the name of the workers was published on the Facebook page of the HRD Korea EPS Center in Bangladesh (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100044257253995).

Anyone on the list is eligible to apply for insurance funds.
