Fined, another ride-sharing biker sets his motorcycle on fire

Another biker -- working with ride-sharing service -- set his motorcycle on fire after a traffic sergeant filed a case at Palashi intersection in Dhaka this afternoon.

Ilias Mia (30) set his bike on fire out of anger as the sergeant fined him Tk 1,000 for traffic rule violation, said MM Morshed, officer-in-charge of Lalbagh Police Station.

He was fined twice earlier, the OC said. 

Further details could not be known immediately.

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

On September 27, another biker, Shawkat Ali, set his motorcycle on fire after a traffic sergeant "attempted to file a case" in Dhaka's Badda area.
