BTRC asks telecom operators to shut down internet for 9 hours in Nayapaltan

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has directed telecom operators to shut down internet service from 11:00am to 8:00pm today in the capital's Nayapaltan where opposition party BNP is holding a grand rally.

The directive was issued as per instruction of the Ministry of Home Affairs and approved by the posts and telecom division, according to the directive seen by The Daily Star.
