A 20-member delegation of Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) today visited puja mandaps of Nanua Dighirpar area in Cumilla, which came under attack on October 13.

DU Professor Rubayet Ferdous said the team will also visit Noakhali where zealots attacked houses, temples and shops of Hindu community.

"The teachers decided to visit Cumilla and Noakhali, to protest the attempt to destroy communal harmony through planned attack on houses and temples of Hindus across the country," Prof Rubayet said.

DUTA President Prof Md Rahmat Ullah said, "We want to live with the right to religious freedom."

"We will not tolerate if anyone tries to attack the spirit of non-communal Bangladesh, violating law and order," he said.
