3.5 magnitude earthquake jolts Sylhet

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Sylhet, the northeastern district of the country, this afternoon.

The earthquake was felt at 1:13pm, a bulletin signed by Md Fahim Hossain, assistant meteorologist of Bangladesh Meteorological Department, confirmed it.

The earthquake's epicentre is 139km northeast from Dhaka (Sylhet region), according to the Earthquake Observation and Research Centre of Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
