3 bodies recovered from Bay in Cox’s Bazar in 2 days

Police recovered bodies of three people from the Bay of Bengal in Cox's Bazar over the last two days.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Imon (18) of Kolatoli area of Cox's Bazar, and Nafik Oishik (23), Abhro (25) of Jashore.

Sayed Murad Islam, assistant commissioner (tourist section) of Cox's Bazar district, confirmed the developments to our Cox's Bazar staff correspondent.

Imon's body was recovered from Sugandha Point around 1pm yesterday, while Nafik Oishik from the same area around 3pm. Abhro was found dead at Nazirtek point around 12pm today, said Sayed Murad Islam.

Sheikh Munir Ul Gias, officer-in-charge of Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station, said the bodies of two victims were handed over to families after autopsy. The process to hand over another body to family is underway.  

The OC further said they are looking into the deaths of the two deceased, who came from Jashore. Four others, who travelled with them, are being interrogated.
