Three police officials made Additional IG

Three senior police officials have been promoted to the rank of Additional Inspector General of Police (Additional IGP) today.

The Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed it in a notification, signed by Mahabur Rahman Sheikh, Senior Assistant Secretary of Public Security Division.

The circular reads that they were made Additional Inspector Generals promoting to the Grade-2.

Selim Jahangir works as the director of National Security Intelligence (NSI). Devdas Bhattacharya was in charge of Mymensingh Range. Habibur Rahman was on current charge as the Additional IG of Tourist Police.

With them, the total number of Additional Inspector Generals of Police currently stands at 22.
