Strict lockdown: Circus workers get food aid in Manikganj

Manikganj district administration today provided food assistance to 13 members of a circus party, who lost jobs due to the ongoing strict lockdown enforced to tackle the spread of Covid-19.

Mohammad Abdul Latif, deputy commissioner of Manikganj, handed over the food aid to them in the district town this evening, reports our local correspondent.

Each of the 13 was given 10 kg of food, including five kg of rice, two kg of pulses, one litre of oil, sugar and vermicelli, said DC Abdul Latif.

He said they would continue such food assistance during the lockdown.
