Religious Affairs Ministry directs not to hold Janmashtami rallies tomorrow

The government has banned all rallies and processions tomorrow (August 30) ahead of the religious festival Janmashtami which marks the birth of Lord Sri Krishna.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs issued a notification in this regard today.

All necessary Janmashtami rituals will be held maintaining proper health guidelines and social distancing rules to avoid Covid-19 infection, the notice cited.
