Mujib Scholarship for offspring of Indian Army personnel killed or injured in 1971 war

Bangladesh will offer 200 scholarships for descendants of Indian Army personnel who lost their lives or suffered significant injuries during the Liberation War in December 1971.

"Mujib Scholarship", named after Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, will be officially unveiled during Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's India visit, Times Now reports.

Apart from talks about and, presumably, agreements on water resources, the two nations' top priorities will be defence cooperation.

There has not been much progress made on the $500 million defence line of credit that India extended to Bangladesh. Both nations will have the chance to come to an agreement during this visit. Numerous defence agreements exist between the two nations regarding travel, training, and other activities.
