BGB-BSF talks in New Delhi from June 11

The border guards of Bangladesh and India will hold their bi-annual border-level talks in New Delhi from June 11 when Dhaka is expected to flag its concerns over continued incidents of border killing.

A 15-member delegation of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will be led by its Director General Maj Gen AKM Nazmul Hasan, while the BSF delegation by DG Sujoy Lal Thaosen at the four-day talks.

The Bangladesh team is expected to reach Delhi on Saturday, reports our New Delhi correspondent.

The two sides are also likely to deliberate on a set of issues related to cross-border crimes and measures to create better synergy between their security agencies.

This will be the 53rd edition of the BGB-BSF talks. The previous meeting was held in Dhaka in July last year.
