Youth dies after being stabbed in Dhaka’s Tejgaon

A youth was stabbed to death in Dhaka's Tejgaon area yesterday night.

The victim, Badhan (25), son of Asad Chowdhuy, hailed from Kishoreganj.

He was a painter by profession, said Apurba Hasan, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon Police Station.

OC Apurba said the incident happened around 8:00am yesterday night when Badhan was with some other people at a tea stall adjacent to Tejgaon Mohila College.

"Someone might have stabbed him after an altercation," the OC said, adding that they rushed to the spot upon receiving information.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The body was kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy, the OC said, adding that they were trying to get details of the incident.
