Woman found dead

Police yesterday recovered the body of an unidentified woman from a building in Savar's Bank Colony area.

The victim is aged around 35, said Zahirul Islam, sub- inspector of Savar Model Police Station, adding that her body was found in a plastic sack under the staircase of the building.

Police primarily suspect the woman was suffocated to death, he added.

A team of Police Bureau of Investigation is working to identify the body, said Dipok Chandra Saha, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.

Meanwhile, police arrested a man for quizzing.
