Supreme Court judges and lawyers are not required to wear gowns during virtual court proceedings.

According to a notification issued by the SC administration today, until further notice, male judges and lawyers in the Supreme Court's Appellate and High Court Divisions will wear white shirt, black coat, and turned-up white band and collar.

Meanwhile female judges and lawyers will wear saree or salwar kameez and black coat with turned up white band and collar during virtual court proceedings.

Both the Appellate and HC Divisions resumed virtual judicial functions since yesterday due to rapid surge of Covid-19 infection.
