Producer, actor Raz detained after Rab finds liquor during raid

Rapid Action Battalion members detained movie producer and actor Nazrul Islam Raz, chairman of Raaz Multimedia, along with two others, in a raid on his house in Banani last night.

Rab sources said the officers recovered liquor and stimulating drugs from the house. The detainees were taken to Rab Headquarters.

The raid was conducted from 8:00pm to 10:30pm.

The elite force took them away to Rab Headquarters around 10:25pm, reports our staff correspondent on the spot.

Raz was the producer of the first film featuring actor Pori Moni, who was detained in another raid by Rab earlier the same day.

Rab spokesperson Khandaker Al Moin said that they conducted the drive at Raz's house after receiving information from Mishu Hasan, an associate of model Piyasha, who was also arrested by the elite force on Tuesday night.
