Police trying to arrest accused after woman raped in Narayanganj

A case has been filed in connection with the rape of a thirty-five-year-old woman in Narayanganj's Sadar upazila.

The victim filed the case accusing one Firoz Mia (30) with Fatulla Police Station this afternoon, reports our local correspondent.

The police station's Officer-in-Charge Rakibuzzaman confirmed the matter to The Daily Star.

The victim went to Narayanganj on July 15 as Firoz told her that he can help release her husband from jail.

According to the case, Firoz asked her to stay at his residence and raped her on the night of July 20. The accused again raped her at another location on July 26 and then threatened her.

A drive is on to nab the accused, OC Rakibuzzaman said.
