Parents, son murdered in Ctg

Police recovered bodies of a couple and their son from a house in Jorarganj union, under Chattogram's Mirsarai upazila early today.

The deceased were identified as Mostafa Saudagar (70), his wife Josna Akter (50), and their son Ahmed Hossain (25), reports our Chattogram correspondent quoting police.

Quoting locals, Inspector (Investigation) of Jorarganj Police Station, Helal Uddin, said that neighbours spotted the bodies of the three people on the floor of their house while returning from Fajr prayer and informed police. The victims' throats were slit.

Police later recovered the bodies at around 5am, he said.

Police, meanwhile, detained Saddam -- elder son of the deceased couple -- for interrogation.

The bodies are being examined and circumstantial evidence is being collected by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said the inspector.
