Man killed in ‘gunfight’ with Rab

A suspected drug dealer was killed in a "gunfight" with Rab in Ukhia of Cox's Bazar yesterday.

A group of drug dealers started firing on Rab personnel when they were on a drug recovery operation near Jaliapalong Forest Beat Office around 8:30pm. Rab fired back in retaliation and later they found the body of Jahangir Alam on the ground, said Capt Azim Ahmed, wing commander of Rab-15.

Rab seized a gun, three bullet and 10,000 Yaba pills from his possession, the official claimed.
