Actor Riaz’s father-in-law dies by suicide on Facebook live

A 58-year-old man, the father-in-law of actor Riaz, died by suicide on Facebook live in the capital's Dhanmondi tonight.

Md Abu Mohasin Khan shot himself in the head around 9:00 pm tonight with his licenced gun, said Dhanmondi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ikram Ali Miah.

"We have learned that the deceased was the father-in-law of the actor Riaz. He used to live alone in a house at Dhanmondi-7," said the OC.

Sajjadur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Ramna Division) said the man's wife and son live in Australia.

"He was suffering from cancer since 2017. Besides, he incurred loss in his businesses," added the police official.

"He might have died by suicide due to these reasons," suspected the DC.

The police personnel also informed that the man was the father-in-law of actor Riaz.
