Rab detained Abdul Momin, 30, a key accused in the driver Samrat murder case early today.

Samrat, a chauffeur of an official of a contractor of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, was allegedly killed in Momin's home on Thursday night.

Law enforcers had said Momin and his wife Seema Khatun killed Samrat over an extramarital affair and left his body inside an SUV on the bank of the Padma in Kushtia.

Momin was in hiding after the incident, reports our Pabna correspondent citing a Rab statement.

According to a press release of Rab-12, a Rab team arrested Momin in Banglamotor area in the capital and handed him over to Ishwardi police.

On Sunday, Momin's wife Seema was placed on a two-day remand.

Seema admitted to police that she along with her husband hit Samrat with a hammer to kill him.

Police recovered the body on Saturday.

The victim's father filed a case on Saturday night accusing Momin, Seema and four to five other unidentified people of murder.
