Jhalakathi's senior judicial magistrate dies of Covid-19

Jhalakathi's Senior Judicial Magistrate Mosammat Saniya Aktar died of Covid-19 this morning.

Saniya (29) breathed her last while receiving treatment at Barishal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital at 11:00am today, Supreme Court's Special Officer Mohammad Saifur Rahman said in a statement.

Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain expressed profound shock at her death and prayed for the salvation and eternal peace of her departed soul.

The chief justice also conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family members of Saniya, Saifur said in the statement.

Law Minister Anisul Huq and Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwar also expressed shock at the death of Saniya.
