Indian girl held for trespassing 

Police detained an Indian girl from Panchagarh's Tentulia yesterday for entering Bangladesh illegally.

Khusnama, 17, from Uttar Dinajpur district of India's West Bengal, reached there after crossing the Mahananda river.

Quoting locals, Abu Sayem Mia, officer-in-charge of Tentulia Police Station, said the girl entered Bangladesh after developing a relationship with a Bangladeshi youth who was in India several years ago.

The OC added that they were trying to send the girl to India through Border Guard Bangladesh.
