Female tourist’s body recovered from Cox’s Bazar resort

The body of a female tourist was recovered from a resort in Cox's Bazar today.

The name of the deceased was logged as Farzana in the resort's entry book.

Additional Superintendent of Cox's Bazar tourist police Md Mohiuddin said a man named Sagor, who was with the deceased, is on the run.

According to the guest entry book, both were residents of Chandina in Cumilla and checked in three days ago, he said.

Hearing no sound from their room the resort staffers broke in the room around 11:00am today and found the dead body of Farzana, said the police official.

The body was sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar hospital for an autopsy, he said.

Legal action will be taken after identifying the actual identity of the two tourists, said Cox's Bazar tourist police.
