Accused in half dozen criminal cases arrested in Ctg

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has arrested an accused in half a dozen criminal cases from Rangunia upazila of Chattogram.

The arrestee is Towhildul Islam (37), a resident of Ranirhat area in Rangunia upazila, said Nurul Absar, assistant director (media) of Rab-7.

A team of Rab-7 arrested Towhildul from Ranirhat area yesterday evening in connection with a murder case filed with Rangunia Police Station in 2014, said Nurul Absar.

The accused was handed over to the Rangunia Police Station today, the Rab official told our Chattogram correspondent.

Towhildul is accused in six cases, including the one over murder, filed with different police stations of Chattogram, he said.

The accused was absconding since his bail period expired, the official added.
