7 held from BNP’s founding anniversary procession in Ctg

Police today detained seven BNP leaders and activists from a procession brought out marking the founding anniversary of the party at Kazir Dewri area of Chattogram city.

"BNP men tried to bring out a procession by blocking the main road of the area. Police had to disperse them. And seven people who were accused in cases filed earlier at our station were detained," our Chattogram staff correspondent reports quoting Nezam Uddin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.

Earlier, Chattogram Metropolitan unit BNP organised a programme marking the founding anniversary at its Nasiman Bhaban party office in Kazir Dewri of Chattogram.
