3 teachers held over SSC question paper leak in Kurigram

Three teachers have been detained for their alleged involvement in leaking question paper of two subjects of SSC examinations at Bhurungamari upazila in Kurigram.

The detainees are Lutfar Rahman, head teacher and exam centre secretary of Bhurungamari Nehal Uddin Pilot Girls High School, and assistant teachers of the same school -- Rasel Ahmed and Zobaer Hossain.

Police detained them around 11:30pm last night (September 20, 2022), our Lalmonirhat correspondent reports.

They were held following handwritten question papers of English first paper, held on September 19, and English second paper, held on September 20, were found with some examinees and their parents.

Bhurungamari Upazila Secondary Education Officer Abdur Rahman said that the question papers had been leaked a few hours before the exams began.

An investigation is going on in this regard, he said.

Bhurungamari Circle's Assistant Superintendent of Police Morshedul Hasan also confirmed the incident.

Meanwhile, authorities of Dinajpur Education Board have postponed tests of four subjects of the ongoing SSC examination following the incidents of question leak in Kurigram.
