Worker dies after falling from ship at Ctg port

A jetty worker died after falling from a ship anchored at a jetty of Chattogram port this (April 27, 2022) afternoon.

The deceased was Amin Ullah (55), from Feni district, appointed by the private berth operating firm MH Chowdhury Limited operating jetty-13 of the port, reports our local staff correspondent quoting Md Omar Faruk, secretary of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA).

He suspected that the worker became dizzy while handling a container on board the MV Capre Syrosin from the scorching heat and fell from the ship around 3:30 pm, severely injuring himself.

Amin was rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where on-duty doctors declared him dead, said Faruk said.
