Woman dies after being hit by train

A woman was killed after being hit by a train near Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bhaban in Narsingdi town yesterday.

Narsingdi Railway Policy recovered the body and sent it to hospital. She, however, could not be identified immediately.

"Chattogram-bound Karnaphuli Express hit the woman around 11:00am when she was trying to cross the rail track," said Sub-inspector Mayetul Jahedi, in-charge of Narsingdi Railway Police Outpost.

The victim died on the spot, he added.
