Woman dies after being hit by bricks from construction site

A woman died yesterday afternoon after several bricks fell on her from a building in Dhaka's Sabujbagh.

The deceased was identified as Fuli Begum, 58, who used to work as part-time domestic help in different residences of the area.

Around 4:00pm today, Fuli was passing by an under-construction building in Mayakanan to when several bricks fell on her from top of an under-construction building, leaving her dead on the spot, said Aslam Ali, a sub-inspector of Sabujbagh Police Station.

Police visited the spot after being informed and sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy tonight, he added.

Fuli hails from Jamalpur district and used to live in Mayakanan area.
