Two killed as truck hits motorbike

Two motorbike riders were killed and another was injured when a truck ran them over in Cumilla yesterday.

The accident happened on Cumilla-Sylhet highway in front of Azghar Ali Girls High School in Debidwar area at 2:55pm, said Nazrul Islam, in-charge of Mirpur Highway Police Outpost.

Arif, son of Sharif Mia of Brahmmanpar area, died on the spot and Irfan Imon, son of Matin Mia from Debidwar, succumbed to his injuries on the way to a hospital, said police.

They were both 17-year-old. 

Another injured Jibon Das, son of Dulal Das of Brahmmanpara, was admitted to Cumilla Medical College Hospital.
