The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over the bodies of two siblings Parvin Khatun (8) and Shakibul Hasan (4), who drowned in the Nilkamal River on the Bangladesh-India border on July 2, to Border Guard Bangladesh today (July 5, 2022).

The bodies were handed over through a flag meeting with BSF and BGB held at Dharmapur border at Fulbariupazila in Kurigram at 7:30pm this evening, reports our Lalmonirhat correspondent.

Later, the bodies were handed over to the family in presence of police, said Farid Uddin, commander of BGB Kashipur Company Camp.

On the morning of July 2, Parvin and Shakibul went missing as they were trying to enter Bangladesh from India illegally with their parents by swimming across the Neelkomol River to cross Fulbari border in Kurigram.
