Reckless motorcycle riding leaves 2 friends dead in Jashore

Two friends died and one other was critically injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles at Dhaka Road area in Jashore yesterday afternoon (August 10, 2022).

The deceased were identified as Ismail Hossain (24) of Barandi Mollahpara area and Al Amin (27) of City College area of the district, reports our Benapole correspondent quoting Tajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Jashore Kotwali Police Station.

Quoting eye-witnesses, the OC said Ismail and Al Amin were heading towards Jashore city riding motorcycle recklessly.

"When their motorcycle reached at Dhaka road, a head-on collision occurred with another motorcycle, leaving Al Amin dead on the spot and critically injured two others," he said.

Ismail and other injured were rushed to Jashore General Hospital where on-duty doctor declared Ismail dead, the OC said.

Police later visited the spot, he added.
