Bangladesh Railway today (July 29) formed a five-member body to investigate the cause of the accident between a train and a microbus at a rail crossing in CHattogram's Mirsharai that left 11 people dead and three others injured.

Chattogram Divisional Transport Officer Ansar Ali has been made convener of the probe committee, reports our staff correspondent quoting Abul Kalam Chowdhury, divisional railway official in Chattogram.

The committee has been directed to submit its report within the next seven working days, he said.

The railway official also claimed that the crossing where the accident took place, has gate bars on both sides of the track and is legal.

The microbus forcefully moved into the crossing without paying heed to the gateman's command, he said.
