It was a lucky escape for three Bangladeshis, including a couple from Gopalganj, who came out unscathed from the deadly train accident in India's Odisha state.

Sajjad Ali and his wife (whose name was not available immediately), and Minhazuddin from Mymensingh returned to Kolkata today from the accident site.

The compartment of the Coramandel Express train, in which the husband-wife duo and Minhazuddin were travelling from Shalimar near Kolkata to Chennai on Friday, remained unaffected by the accident.

However, not so fortunate were two other Bangladeshi nationals from Rajshahi and Bogura who were injured when their coach of Coramandel Express derailed.
