Narayanganj fire: Ministry of labour provides Tk 50,000 financial assistance to each injured worker
Family of each deceased will get Tk 2 lakh
Workers injured in the fire at Hashem Foods factory in Narayanganj have been given financial assistance for treatment by the Bangladesh Workers 'Welfare Foundation Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
Labour and Employment Secretary KM Abdus Salam today handed over cheques of Tk 50,000 to each of the three wounded workers who are undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Treatment aid was also handed over to seven wounded workers who are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Rupganj this afternoon.
Besides, Tk 2 lakh will be given to each family of the three deceased whose identities were confirmed. The cheques will be given tomorrow.
The family of each deceased worker will be given Tk 2 lakh from the Labour Welfare Foundation Fund after their identities are confirmed, said the labour secretary.
