Mirsharai dredger capsize: 3 more bodies recovered

Bodies of three other workers, who were missing since October 24 in the Bay of Bengal in Chattogram's Mirsharai area, were recovered from the sunken dredger this morning (October 27, 2022).

With the deceased, bodies of all the eight missing workers were recovered, our Chattogram staff correspondent reports quoting Fire Service and Civil Defence's Deputy Assistant Director Abdullah Harun Pasha.

Divers of fire service and coastguards resumed search operation around 7:00am and recovered the bodies between 8:30am and 9:30am, the fire service official said.

Mirsharai Police Station Officer-in-charge Kabir Hossain also confirmed the body recovery of Shaheen Molla (37), Md Tarek (20) and Abul Bashar (40). All were from Patuakhali district.

The authorities ended the search operation around 11:00am today.
