Medical student drowns in Jamuna

A medical student drowned in the River Jumauna in Bogura's Sariakandi upazila today.

The deceased was Mosabber Hossain Fine (22), a second-year student of Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College (MARMC), our Bogura correspondent reports quoting police.

Quoting family members, Mizanur Rahman, officer in-charge of the Sariakandi Police Station said, "Mosabber went to Jamuna to take bath with some youths around 8:30 am this morning. He drowned as he couldn't swim."

Later, locals recovered the body from the river. "His body has already been handed over to his family," said the OC.
