Fire at Lalbagh plastic factory under control

A fire that broke out at a plastic factory in Dhaka's Lalbagh area this afternoon, was brought under control.

The fire originated at the factory at Shaheed Nagar area around 12:05pm, said Rozina Akhter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.  

Twelve fire-fighting units managed to bring the blaze under control around 1:35pm, the fire service official said.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, she added.
