Fire at Demra shoe factory under control

The fire that broke out at a shoe factory in Dhaka's Demra area this afternoon is now under control.

The blaze originated around 1:00pm at the tin-shed factory near Rajmahal Cinema Hall. Five firefighting units brought the fire under control around 2:00pm, Khaleda Akter, duty officer of Fire Service Control Room told The Daily Star.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
