Fire at Old Dhaka polythene factory under control

The fire that broke out at a polythene factory in Old Dhaka's Chawk Bazar area was brought under control after two hours.

Ten fire fighters brought the blaze under control at 2:20pm, said Khaleda Yeasmin, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.

The fire originated around 12pm at the factory at Kamalbagh area. The firefighting units are now trying to douse it.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
